2 Skinny Movers

This was the worst experience I have ever had anywhere. The whole moving process was fine until it came time for the payment. I did not know they don't accept card payment. I was planning on paying with my credit card. The movers told me they only accept cash or zelle. I only had 900.00 in my debit card but I had a little over 3,000 in my savings account. When it came time for the payment, I transferred 2,000 from my savings to my debit. The transfer was immediate but the money was not appearing in my checking account so I zelled the mover the 900.00 I had in my debit. I told him I didn't have any cash but I would zelle him as soon as the transfer went through. He was very kind & understanding. The issue was when someone from the company called me. He said, in these exact words 'it sounds like you're trying to play with us, what? Do you think you can just steal, get us to move for you for free?' I explained the situation to him but he started talking over me, raising his voice. I kept trying to tell him I would never steal from anyone, I tried to pay in card but the mover said they don't accept cards. He started yelling at me & told me to stfu! In those exact words. I have not used 2 skinny movers myself but I heard great things about them from my friend who used them. She said they were polite and kind as well as very good at getting everything moved even heavy things or things that require assembly. She said they were very good. If I had to move this is probably the company I would use.

Super great guys and we're very accommodating to everything we needed. They made several trips without a sweat and were willing to take everything. Super grateful!!

Typical bait and switch scam! Salim agreed to terms via text message and said 'Yeah, yeah, yeah...we can do all that for that price. The very night before the move he texted me and says oh no we can do none of that. We need to get paid and the entire price changed by over $100 an hour. He was relying on the hope that I had no other choice, but to give into his demands with time running out. Luckily, I had a back up plan in place for the day of the move and was able to cancel his services. Be weary of anything he tells you he can do for a certain price and get it in writing with his signature!!

I used 2 Skinny Movers in April to load my 1-bedroom apartment into storage pods in Campbell, CA. Now that I've finally unpacked, I'm honestly shocked at the mess they left behind. They ignored the packing instructions I relayed from the pod company, cut me off mid-sentence with 'yeah, yeah...' instead of listening, took 6+ hours to load a 1-bedroom apartment. Fragile items were barely wrapped or not wrapped at all. TVs were shoved in without using the protective boxes I bought. A large glass vase was completely unwrapped between boxes. This was a frustrating experience from start to finish. I can't recommend them.
