Excellent Service from Ace's Garage Door Repair & Installation: My garage door suddenly stopped opening after a power outage in our area (which I initially thought was the cause). The door would close normally if I manually opened it and re-engaged the motor, but whenever I tried to open it using the opener, it would only lift a few inches before stopping. Of course, this happened on a Saturday evening. After doing some troubleshooting on my own and consulting a couple of friends, I called Ace's Garage Door Repair. To my surprise, they were able to come out on Sunday, within just two hours of my call. The technician quickly diagnosed the issue as a broken spring. At first, I wasn't convinced because I was still assuming it was related to the recent power outage, but he took the time to explain the problem clearly. My home was built in 2019 and came with an internal spring system installed by the builder. I learned that these springs are typically rated for only about 5,000-6,000 open/close cycles and eventually wear out over time. I had Ace's assess my broken garage door, per the contracted vendor under my home warranty. Long story short, the tech (Musa) that came to assess the issue either misdiagnosed the problem or he submitted it incorrectly to our warranty, to which it wasn't covered. After I got a second (and third) opinion from a different garage vendor, the diagnosis came back completely different and was fixed for under warranty. In addition, the interactions I had with the tech was completely rude/unprofessional. Seems dishonest and would not recommend this company.

Liars liars liars. They misquote and always try to replace the entire garage door. Happened with me two times. Stay away from them. I would give them zero star if yelp allows.

Recently got a garage door installed - both techs that came to the house were great, super nice and accommodating. Communication with the main office was laughable. I never knew who I was talking to, I always felt like I was starting at the beginning and filling them in on where the last conversation left off. I got no updates about delivery of the garage door - just the initial timeline (which came and went) so I hit them up and they said they would check with the manufacturer. Another week went by and I reached out again and door was getting delivered the next day and install would happen the day after. Funny how much they communicated to get the balance resolved though, within 24 hours of install I got multiple texts/calls/emails. I promptly paid but would have loved this kind of communication throughout the 8 week process.
