I researched a bunch of chimney sweeps. Turns out many were related. They all up into one agent setting appointments, some sort of corporate or franchise thing? Need to be careful about this. I picked Darren because he's local. Previous owners somehow screwed up the functionality of my fireplace. They tore some things out so when I do have a fire, usually duraflame, some of the smoke leaks out into the room. Darren diagnosed the problem and did a custom fix, installed a smoke guard, chain screen protector; did a great job, doesn't leak anymore. Great service, good price; also an honest chimney sweep, he looked at the chimney said it doesn't need cleaning. Highly recommend.

I was greatly pleased with the service that Darren gave to my job from start to finish. He assessed what was needed on the first visit and at that time scheduled a date for the work. He followed up the next day with a confirmation. The work was done right on time. He told me all that he was doing: the cleaning, the repair of our old chimney, and the replacement of the cap. When he left the space was clean and the fireplace was ready to enjoy. His charge was competitive but far less than a previous bid I received. Many thanks!

I was referred to Brennan's Chimney Service by some of my neighbors. I was very pleased with Darren's work, as he removed an old wood burning stove that was no longer useable from our fireplace (which was not an easy job) and cleaned the fireplace and chimney to restore it to its original condition. He is skilled at his job. Darren is professional, courteous and friendly. He explains what he is doing in a clear and understandable way and does not try to upsell you into something that is not necessary. His rates are reasonable, and I felt I got good value for the price. I will definitely be calling Darren for any future fireplace service.

Darren is super knowledgeable about his profession, thorough and he made his schedule work to get it all done before the carpets went in. I can't recommend him enough.
