Groundworks

My husband and I cannot express how appreciative we are of Erick Biaz and his crew (Jonathan Madrigal, Erik Villegas, Jovany Hernandez melo). It was absolutely refreshing to have such friendly, caring, and customer service oriented individuals present throughout what could have been an extremely stressful process. They went above and beyond each day that they were at our home, whether by truly listening to our concerns, offering thoughtful feedback, or holding open doors, bringing in packages, and offering to take out the kitchen trash! In a time when it is so hard to find good contractors, they are by far the exception and it was truly a pleasure to work with them.

I had Groundworks repair a sinking floor earlier this month. After signing the contract, I changed the job and they adjusted the price without any problem. They did the job well, were professional, on time and clean. Luis G, the foreman, worked with me to make sure I was satisfied. His CoForeman, Ken H, and installer, Mark P, were easy to work with.

Stan came out and spent so much time with us going over every single issue we have in our home. His diagnostic skills were top notch, and the customer service was of really rare quality.

I paid a five-figure sum to stabilize my foundation, yet the flooring remains uneven by 3/8 inch. This is concerning, as uneven floors can worsen over time. The contract guarantees that the stabilized slab won't settle more than ¼ inch for five years, with free labor and materials to fix any issues if it does. However, the contractor ignored this warranty and offered no resolution. Worse, I was told the project was 'complete' and asked to pay the full bill, which I did. A Rental Housing inspector later pointed out the project was NOT final, and only then did Groundworks rushed to schedule a final inspection. I've since learned another customer has the same experience (read below, by Arleen R.) . This caused delays in renting out my property, as a prospective tenant flagged the issue, and I couldn't show the paperwork that it was final. I received no compensation or effort to correct the leveling. Additionally, as a young woman, I felt dismissed and talked over when raising these concerns. Im disappointed andrecommend you to read the contract carefully, and compare with other vendors.

I had them come out to check out some cracking in my garage floor. Was given an honest opinion that no work was required at this time and some advice on how to best monitor for changes.
