Magic Painting

We had a great experience with John and Magic Painting. Throughout the process, John was communicative and on time - never late to a meeting and right on the mark with timing estimates. Ours was not an easy job, but John did his best to erase 110 years of poor external maintenance and we were really pleased with the end result. Cost-wise, he wasn't bargain basement but was certainly fair and on par with other quotes we received. All in all, we'd highly recommend John for paint jobs big and small.

John was very responsive when I first contacted him to see my new space. John helped my visualize my condo with various painting suggestions that he made. He provided the estimate on time and the job started shortly thereafter. He and his crew were efficient and clean. The job itself looks beautiful. I highly recommend Magic Painting.

My house has not been painted for many years. Magic Painting did the entire interior which involved painting over stained wood trim and a 20' x 30' room with a 14' cathedral ceiling. They also painted the exterior trim. The house looked 100 x better after the trim was painted. I needed some exterior caulking done which involved a tall ladder and John came by to caulk, even before he started working on my house. After they finished, he came back to do touch ups.

Majic Painting was great to work with. They came right out for an estimate and I we scheduled the painting within a week. I was very happy with the coordination and final product. The team was great to work with and the project manager came out after to make sure I was happy with their work. I highly recommend Majic!

John Kim and his very solid, hardworking, longtime crew have, among other projects, been helping me bring my 1907 Edwardian back to life over the last 15 years. Mostly with smaller, phased, paint and restoration projects on a piecemeal basis as I went through the building and various spaces. Finally about 1 year ago, I was able to have John and crew do a full, "top to bottom" paint/restoration on the exterior of my building on Dolores Street. It was amazing to see what a great, in-depth prep job and thorough follow thru they did. I don't know how to post pictures of the project here on YELP, but you should ask John to send or otherwise provide them to you. It looks great. This was a 5 color victorian with gold leaf as well. They provided a very competitive bid against 3 other outfits that were well respected. I am always looking to thread the needle on good quality / competency / value. John has consistently hit the sweet spot for me. He has done both interior and exterior work on this and other buildings.
