Oddjob Rob

Terrific handyman! He showed up exactly when he said he would and started working his way through our to do list. On this first visit, he repaired two screen doors, recaulked a sink that was in horrible condition (now looks great), and installed a porch light. He's a great communicator and problem solver, and his rates are very reasonable. So happy we found him here on Yelp!

Ours was a simple job. Rob returned my calls promptly and arrived when he said he would with his ladder. Figured out what kind of commercial light bulbs we needed, picked 'em up from the hardware store, returned and replaced the burned out ones. Friendly and reasonably priced.

Rob has cared for our house for decades. He is reliable, economical, skillful, thoughtful, and thorough. He converted an old hotwater heater enclosure to a pantry that is now essential. He built a cabinet to enclose a dishwasher. He rebuilt a bathroom fan whose motor had failed, fixed a hole in drywall, mounted an outdoor heater and many, many other things. Often Rob will think of an elegant, original, and inexpensive way to solve a problem. He anticipates what tools and supplies he will need, and brings them with him. He is considerate of our being at home, tidies up before he leaves, and bills reasonably for his time. Phoning and leaving him a voicemail is the best way to engage him. Rob returns calls promptly.

Fantastic handyman. Easy to work with, prompt, and addresses whatever. I had him recaulk a tub, replace electrical outlets, fix the boarding under my sink and a few other items. All done quickly and well. Highly recommend.

I would give 6 stars to OddJob Rob if I could. He did excellent work -- replacing and analyzing our wired smoke alarms, while also diagnosing and fixing door knobs -- from antique to modern. Was punctual, efficient and friendly. Multitalented and reasonably priced. Will use again.
