OT Bay Builders

We recently used OT Bay Builders to remodel our front bathroom. We had talked to a number of other remodeling contractors before talking to them. Most were at least a little cheaper. In our case, three things helped us make the decision, with two being different than almost anyone else we looked at. The first was the ratings for the quality of the workmanship. Consistent with the reviews, we were very happy with the quality of the work performed - this is definitely a "high-end" contractor. The second was the inclusion of full-service design in the package, which the others didn't offer. They provide a designer that you work with, and visit showrooms with, to understand what you want both functionally and aesthetically. They create a 3-D rendering so you can see exactly what your bathroom will look like, and then you review it and make changes to the design until you have exactly what you want. They then create the materials ordering forms to get what's needed for the project, and instructions for the construction workers. After some ups and downs with another contractor (also very good but dealing with some family issues) I reached out to OT Bay Builders and was so impressed by the PM Steve who met with me in person to review the project in detail, for a couple of hours. On the spot, he gave me his budget and timeline, we verified the scope of work, and OTBB delivered as promised, with bells on! The crew was friendly, clean, efficient, and talented, and Steve was available throughout for questions and coordination. Anderson, the onsite foreman, was lovely to work with and was also responsive to my minor on-site adjustments. I would wholeheartedly recommend this team as they are clearly dedicated to delivering a quality experience to the client as well as reliving a great project, on time, and on budget.

Ok, so I am a seriously anal human being when it comes to finding the right service provider at the right price. I interviewed -- and I kid you not -- eight different Bay Area contractors just to get a feel for pricing, transparency, and overall vibe. OT Bay stood out immediately. Ron, our project manager, has been consistently honest, kind, and communicative from day one. There was no pressure or vague answers -- just clear explanations and realistic expectations. We reached out to many contractors for our laundry room remodel and ended up selecting OT Bay Builders. Not only was their price competitive, but Ron was a great project manager. In working with Ron, he would send daily updates the night before about what would happen the next day, keep us posted if there were any delays, come by to check on the work himself and quickly alleviate any concerns I had within 1 day. Most of all, what most others quoted would take 3+ weeks, Ron and his team completed everything in 10 working days, start to finish. I have done many renovations and I was amazed at the efficiency at which the team moved. I would also like to highlight that the workers themselves are incredibly nice. I tend to be nosy during the process but they always welcomed my input, any subtle changes/requests I would make and were always very polite. All in all, great project manager, great foreman, great workers. I would highly recommend OT Bay Builders and Ron for any remodeling projects.
