The feedback of hiring Wei Hong Yang is not positive and mix, which is very different from the rest of the reviews here. I recently hired Wei Hong Yang as a structural engineer for a home renovation project. Communication: His email turnaround time is about 12-24 hours after you sign the contract. As a busy professional with many clients and cases, he never answer the phone promptly when urgent matters arose. While I understand that he is a highly sought-after professional, I believe that being busy should not be used as an excuse for poor communication. Competence: While I found his technical skills to be impressive, I had some concerns about the design of the interior spaces. ... Overall, I would NOT recommend Mr. Yang to others.

Mr. Yang drew up plans to remove a load bearing wall in my living room, called out the beam sizes, all framing specifications, sheer wall specifications, concrete footings and rebar specifications, and all possible details for my project in San Jose. He was responsive with follow up questions and came to appointments agreed upon. Most important to me was that Mr. Yang delivered what he promised.
