Excellent service and thoughtful options for an aging building with high security needs. Greg installed a new entry system for us, getting us into a digital age and working with our old deadbolt and door. He came out for an emergency service when the USPS key caused an error and helped troubleshoot over the phone. They are worth the price for security options and provide an honest opinion when the work doesn't align with their crew. They take the time to learn your needs, setup the right system, and give advice on the best options for your door - digital or not. I'd trust them with my keys - they are legit. Excellent business - and not just locksmiths.

We have had issues with the door to our unit staying shut without locking the deadbolt ever since we moved in 4 years ago. As it was a minor inconvenience- we just never dealt with it. While I was out of town, Divisadero lock was working on updating our front gate electronic call box. My fiancé asked them if they would be willing to come look at our door and see if it would be an easy enough fix. The owner, his son, and a third employee all happily obliged to come check it out. Within 10 minutes our old, beat up apartment door was working just like new. It would've been so easy for them to pass this off, make us schedule another appointment, or tell us this type of small job was below their threshold of service. Not these guys. If you want a family owned, fast, friendly locksmith - these are your guys! Thank you for being genuine human beings during these crazy times!

Called to make an appointment with Melvin, he was very courteous and asked me to send him photos prior to the day of apt. Greg and Steve came by, and when Greg arrived I asked him what he thought of the issue, his answer was:" I think we should just walk out of here; This door is just fine" I replied that it was not fine, because it would not lock itself. They ended up staying 20 min, to make a pressure adjustment on the arm of the door, and charged me $170. A couple days after, the door still had the same issue. I called the office and made another appointment that will be 2 weeks later. I said okay. The day of the appointment i received a call from Greg who said:" you are my first apt in SF, will you be here in 30min? I said yes, then he said I want you to make sure you know I am going to charge you another fee for $170 for me to come out there. This door needs a constant adjustment.... I was furious, I told him that I understand if it needed an adjustment twice or once a year but bi-weekly come on! I told him I was not happy with his customer service, and I would understand if I was the only one in the city, but he was not just coming for us. I am happy that they have business ot

I live at 1800 Pacific Avenue. The owners of the building paid Divisadero Lock a very large sum of money to install a security video system with access to wi-fi. Everything worked ok for a short time, but then the wi-fi code mysteriously changed, the wi-fi became useless. The owner of Divisadero Lock demanded $130 to come over and input the correct code. He refused to give us the code over the phone. This is the kind of person you are dealing with. In my opinion, he is running a scam, lining his pockets with ill-gotten cash. Do you want to take a chance with people like this? Stay away!
